Entry Requirements
1. Degree Courses:
All applicants under degree programmes should apply direct to the Tanzania Commission
for Universities (TCU). Information on the mode of application is available
on TCU website www.tcu.go.tz .
Applications should be submitted between 1st March, 2013 and 31st May,
2013.
A: DIRECT ENTRY SCHEME (FORM VI)
- At least three (3) credits in approved subjects in the Certificates of
Secondary Education (O) Level AND
- At least two (2) Principal passes in approved subjects (at A Level)
of not less than 2.5 points (where A=5, B=4, C=3, D=2, E=1 and S=0.5 points).
B: EQUIVALENT ENTRY SCHEME
To be eligible under this scheme applications must have obtained:
- At least three credits at O Level AND
- A Diploma relevant to the programme of not less than B grade from a recognized Institution.
- For Bachelor of Laws (LLB), a certificate in Law with a distinction from an accredited Institution or a degree from a recognized University.
- For the Bachelor of Information Management (BIM), any degree from a recognized University.
C: PROGRAMME SPECIFIC ENTRY REQUIREMENTS
In addition to meeting the general admission requirements, applicants may be required to meet programme specific requirements as follows:
- For BA, (Mass Com), BA (LIS) and LLB programmes, one
must have a credit in English at O Level or at least a Subsidiary
pass in English at A Level.
- For BBA, one must have a pass in Mathematics at O Level
or a subsidiary at A Level or at least a D grade in Maths
or Statistics or Quantitative Methods in their Diplomas.
2. Diploma Courses:
A. DIPLOMA IN BUSINESS ADMINISTRATION AND MANAGEMENT (DBAM) (2
year Course).
GENERAL ENTRY REQUIREMENTS (DBAM)
Category A: Direct Entry Scheme:
An applicant must have: at least three credits OR five passes at O-level AND at least two subsidiary passes at A-level AND
either a subsidiary pass in mathematics at A level OR a pass in mathematics
at O-level
Category B: Equivalent Entry Scheme
Applicants must either: Hold a Certificate of Secondary Education and a Certificate in relevant field of not less than nine months from a recognized institution and must be approved by the Academic Board.
B. DIPLOMA IN LAW (DL) (2
year Course).
GENERAL ENTRY REQUIREMENTS (DL)
3. Certificate Courses:
A: CERTIFICATE IN ACCOUNTANCY AND BUSINESS ADMINISTRATION
(CABA) (1 year Course).
Entry Qualifications:
Category A: Direct Entry:
An applicant must hold at least a Certificate of Secondary Education
Examination (CSEE) with a minimum of three passes (D and above) one of which
must be mathematics.
Category B: Entry by Examination Scheme:
An applicant must hold at least a Certificate of Secondary Education with a
minimum of three passes (D and above) without mathematics and must sit for
and pass TUDARCo entry examination.
B: CERTIFICATE IN RECORDS MANAGEMENT
Entry Qualifications:
Applicants for this one year course must have obtained at least five (5)
passes at "O" - level in recognized subjects. A certificate
from an accredited Secretarial College or Information Technology Institution
will
be an added advantage. This course will be conducted from July 2012 to June
2013.
C: CERTIFICATE IN LAW
Entry Qualifications:
An applicants must hold at least a Certificate of Secondary education Examination
(CSEE) with a minimum of Five Passes "D" one of which must be English.
Enrollment process:
TUMADARCo enrolls students without regard to creed, race, religion or
political orientation. It enrolls both equivalent as well as recent A
Level graduates.
Registration Procedures
Besides the above, a prospective student must submit a completed application
form accompanied with a 30,000/= non-refundable fee.
Furnishing a Medical
examination form on the fitness of the candidate to pursue
University programmes.
Submission of proof of sufficient funds for the completion of the programme.
Letter of reference regarding
(a) Personal integrity
(b) Academic performance.
Enrolment:
TUMADARCo enrols students without regard to creed, race, religious or political
orientation. It enrols both mature and employed applicants as well as fresh
from school A level graduates, provided they qualify for the programme for
which they have applied.
Possession of Identity Card (ID)
The possession of an ID is a prerequisite for benefiting from various college
services and participating in academic as well as administrative tasks. Students
shall carry at all times, while on TUMADARCo premises.
The ID shall be demanded for the following:-
- Entering and using the library as well as borrowing books and accessing special reserve.
- Entering the computer room and using the computers.
- Entering an examination room and sitting for any Tumaini University MAkumira
Examination administered and conducted by the College.
- Campus identification, especially by the College guards.

Entry requirements and language support
Normal In Tanzania Higher Education system the instruction language will be
English rare Swahili will be used, in order to be able to communicate with
locals,
you may need to learn Swahili language, TUMADARCo does not conduct Swahili
courses but there are many local institutions that offer Swahili courses for
foreignes.
