Business administration and Library Information Studies and Mass Communication

These collections are located at Mwenge Campus Library. They consist of books, periodicals, newspapers, and research reports as well as reference materials.The collections are used mostly for learning, teaching, research and consultancy purposes. It is used by academic and non-academic staff, students pursuing degrees in Bachelor of Business Administration, Bachelor of Arts in Library Information Services, Bachelor of Human Resource Management, Bachelor of Arts in Mass Communication, Bachelor of Arts in Education,Bachelor of Information Management, researchers and consultants.

Law

This collection is located at Kurasini Campus Library. It serves the same purpose as the Mwenge Campus Library and people of the same cadre as for Mwenge Campus Library.

Special reserve

Special reserve section consists of books, which are on high demand. Books from this section are to be read in the main library and are not to be taken outside the Library. Readers may borrow special reserve books for a maximum of 2 hours per one book. An additional 1 hour can be requested if there is no user waiting for the book. Failure to return a borrowed special reserve book after one will lead to penalties.

Reference collection

This is within the libraries. It consists of encyclopedia, dictionaries (subject and language), manuals and handbooks. These materials are for use within the library only.
